Comic Update

Merry Christmas, everyone.

First off, I’d like to thank the Academy - wait, wrong speech.

First off, I’d like to thank everyone who read this stupid thing and stuck it out with me, whether it was seven minutes or seven years. I’d especially like to thank all my commenters, both faithful and intermittent. I probably wouldn’t have made it so far without you guys.

I am hoping to get this published, either traditionally or self-published, within the next year, and before anyone asks, yes, I am intending to write out a little epilogue. But for now, I need a break!

Hmmm, I somehow missed updating over here yesterday. I uploaded the comic itself, but I didn’t make a post! I am dumb.

So just read page 317, then hit ‘next’ and 318 should be there too!

Long day is long.

I ended up going car shopping in the morning, then waited around anxiously for an individual to talk to me about his RX-8, then on a whim I searched through Craigslist for Eclipses in the area one more time. As luck would have it, I saw a 2008 Eclipse GT Spyder for a killer price at a dealership of all places!

Yeah, I bought it.

The sales associate was really cool - my age, so we joked about pop culture and Napoleon Dynamite as he took me through the paperwork. I was very relieved that this particular dealership was also pretty low pressure and laid back, like the place I bought my tC from, and there was no haggling. I was already getting private party for the car, and that was about as good as I could expect. Even better, actually.

So in the end, in this round I test drove one of the newer tCs, a Ford Fiesta (WTF? Pushy sales lady at the Ford dealership practically forced me into that car. I told her I was looking a sporty two door. A FIESTA IS NEITHER.)

OH, and since the dealership I was buying the Eclipse at was Chevy, the sales associate who was helping me got wind via Eclipse (the gryphon, not the car) that I loooooooove Corvettes, and he took me out for a spin in one! I swear, if I had more dollars and less sense I would have walked out with that car.

But the Eclipse is a good, lateral move. A slight upgrade, even! And now I can say the most important thing in my life is Eclipse, and people won’t ever know for sure what I mean. Mwahahahahaha!
